A case where the camera does not work because of the wrong ground connection

2010 Golf GTI, installed a flip camera, the camera did not work because of the wrong ground connection.

Conclusion: Not all the places with screws are ground connection points. There must be a large metal connection or the housing of the unit to be the correct ground connection point.

I need some help with the CAN clip thing. This is what the plug looks like in my car. Am I correct with the + and - ?
